About Doug Pyper Photographics

With over 20 years as a professional photographer and photojournalist for me the focus has always been the human element.

Whether shooting editorial or commercial assignment, creating portraits in studio or on location, documenting cultural lifestyle or capturing the action of adventure.

The human landscape intrigues me. It is ever changing, endless in its complexity, and profoundly interesting. It is where my camera has drawn me over and over again.

My passion for photographing people endures to this day as the sole reason I am a photographer.

As both a photojournalist and freelance writer I work diligently for magazine publications, book publishers, newspapers, create documentary and multimedia projects on demand, and love to shoot for global NGO's and non-profits.

Recent Kudos from NGO Children International.....

"Doug is a gifted and accomplished photographer!

Excellent eye for drama, humanity, and the world in which we live.

And it’s evident from his images that he has an aptitude for communicating emotionally with children of all cultures.

He made things easy for us, by understanding the project, taking charge once he hits the ground, and getting it all done on time with incredible results.

Children International will be using his 2010 Ecuador images for years to come, because they capture perfectly the real lives of the people we help. No qualms about recommending him to anyone or any organization".
